THE HALL & GARDENS ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED
Gardens are open for one week for the Queen of Heart event during February halfterm (see events page)
The new seaon runs from
Tuesday 1st April – Friday 31 October 2025.
The gardens will be open to the public Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Mondays all season.
Opening times: 10.30am – 4pm (extended to 5pm May to August). Last entry 2.30pm.
The Hall will be offering groups of upto 20 for tours on Thursday and Sundays in May , June , July and September. These are payable on the door as a Hall and Gardens ticket. Tours are planned for 11am, 12noon, 130pm and 230pm. PLEASE NOTE: THESE DATES AND TIMES COULD CHANGE so please check website before travelling to avoid disapointment.

Accessibility
Outside Areas
Nearly all areas of the garden are accessible. Some areas will be restricted due to slopes and steps. Please be aware that some of the paths are uneven in places and tricky with small wheeled chairs. Lawns can be used for moving around. Due to the historic nature of the garden we cannot provide full access.
Disabled Facilities
There is an accesible toilet at the top of Gardens.
Dogs
Sorry no dogs allowed except guide/assistance dogs.
Garden and Hall Admissions
- Entry tickets are valid all day from 10.30am and give access to the 12 acres of garden.
- Open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Mondays
- Pre-book online below or just turn up on the day and pay at the entrance.
- May to August: Last entry is 3.30pm, gardens close at 5pm.
- Hall tickets are available on the door for select days during May, June, July and September.
- We politely remind visitors not to bring picnics into the gardens
- For regular visitors we also offer Season Tickets.
Discounted entry
- RHS valid Wednesdays ONLY from April–September (only 1 member free on joint memberships, as stated in RHS handbook. (Cards NOT valid for events/large groups)
- HHS members free with valid card (cards NOT valid for events or group bookings)
- Although we have English Heritage listed status, EH members cards are NOT valid as we are not registered as a members property.
- Season tickets are available.

Refreshments
Greenhouse Café
Our exciting Greenhouse Café is open! Our menu is completely plant-based with plenty of locally sourced ingredients serving cakes, pastries, seasonal vegetable tarts and coffee. The cafe will be open in line with garden opening days.
